Stock HU LOC Question

OK Ive searched and it seems like if I just wanted to put a subwoofer in my sisters car (with mono amp of course) I would need a LOC so I can get the preouts. I was looking at david navone's products and he has so many different ones. Is there anything specific to look for or are they all pretty much the same? I'm not really looking for anything highend like the ones JL and fosgate have, because she wont be upgrading speakers or anything to that effect.

youll be good with a 20$ one. if shes not planning on going super high end then youll be fine with any of them
