Stock dualdin -> alpine deck install. difficult?

I currently have a 95 240sx with the stock double-din CD/TAPE setup including powered antenna. Im buying a 9847 or 9853 alpine most likely, how hard would this be to install and what do I need? Do I need a kit for my particular car?

Ive installed 4 systems including dual amps/cap/crossover/subs/speakers blah blah but Ive never had to install the decks due to having them in the car or it getting done for free. I don't want to fry anything.

Im gonna assume I need a manual telling me what the stock wiring colors are + a harness to mount in the back of the alpine unit.. all the wiring tools I have.

Im not sure how much a shop will charge me for install but im wondering if its worth getting them to do it..

if it has the stock unit in it just go and get a harness verry easy to hook up and a dash

it is very simple get a harness, match some colors, and get a dash kit for your car.

Where would I get these items? the harness from an audio installer and the dash kit from my nissan dealer id assume? and with the harness all you gotta do is match red/red yellow/yellow etc,. or will there be surprises? If i fry this deck im killing myself and everyone within a 1 mile radius

try something like walmart they are both cheap and easy to find and if not there just about any place that sells car audio

Ok i should know which deck im getting within the next few hrs.. im trying to get a 9847 on ebay, but if I get way outbid im buying a 9853.. both around $200 cdn

You need a harness, dash kit, and possibly an antannae adapter. You should be able to get all of these from an audio shop. Or you can go to crutchfield.com and they will give you everything for free. They'll even tell you how to get your factory radio out.
