stock amp bypass?

hey guys, just wondering if anyone could give me a little help here, looking to bypass a stock amp in a 01 chrysler sebring - is there any other way to bypass the stock amp other then running all new speaker wires? I find this to be a huge hassle, if anyone knows of another way to bypass it please post

All you have to do is connect the wires from the input harness to the corresponding wires on the output harness.

doing this you get no sound from the aftermarket unit
