Stock alternator.

depends on what else your car is using the amperage for.

the amperage rating on an alternator is the only factory, if you are running 20 hydraulic pumps, a plow, and towing a trailer, then a 100 amp alternator isn't going to be sufficient.

But if you are driving a hyundai without AC, then 100 amps is enough to run quite a bit.

itll work all right but you are going to start losing voltage after like 2 mins and after like 10min you will prolly be under 10v. thats only if you are playing it at maximum volume, if you are driving your car and at like half volume youll be a fine all day. also remember stock alts dont make hardly anything at idle. i used to run 1650wrms amp that was 80% efficient off a the stock 95a alt in my 93 ford explorer and that is kinda what happened to me. i would bump the music loud for a song or 2 and then turn it down for a couple and let the voltage pick back up a little.

I have run my stock 90A alt for years with just a strong aftermarket battery and 2000W+ systems.

Is it ideal? No. Has it worked? Thus far, yes.
