stock alt=how many batteries?

so i have a 115A alternator and i have a hc1800 under the hood. im looking to add a 2nd battery and wondering what my alt can safely handle. would like to get a hc800 in the trunk- just wanna make sure the stock alt can support both batteries.

doing this to safely run my DD M1c at .5. i have a voltage meter on the dash. at what point should i get worried? 12V? really dont wanna fry this amp

Get a g31 for the back yea def dont let it dip past 12 ..but on stock alt yr gona want to have all the battery backup u can

Btw alot cheaper quality batts can be had over the kinetic...sams duracell agm ...sears die hard platinum agm.deka if u have a local dealer

I sent u a pm. Like what was said earlier, u can have many,mnay other batts than a kinetic.. but if is a kinetic u want, i have a kr3112 thats about 8 months old u can get. Its grp 31 and has 125ah

I would only be running .5 for burps.

so what you guys are saying is i can run my 81ah under the hood and another 100ah or so in the back on a 115A alt?

Yes. Thats the theory. The one u got under the hold it good, and adding another 100+ah in theback will give you that extra support. Not saying a ho alt isnt needed if you run more power eventually. Buta solid support battery in theback will do what you need it to do
