How are Kickers?

I was thinking about getting some Kickers, 12" 2ohm, 400w RMS, the CVRs...i found a pair of them in a ported box for $200 locally, so probably $300 including an amp.

How would these compare to say a single Kicker Solo Baric L7 12" 750w rms in a ported box? It would be about $300, $375 including a MTX 801D used amp???

Would the sound quality on the CVRs be better than on the one solo baric?

How do i decide?!

Im thinkin im going to go with the Solo baric in the custom box he had made in cali. He will even throw in a MTX 801d Amp all for $375, whatcha think?

^ good deal. I think that particular amp does 400w rms @ 4 Ohms and 800w rms @ 2 Ohms (can anyone confirm this?), so make sure the 12L7 is dual 4 ohm.

mtx amps are ehh. not to good. a recent L7 can outperform 2 CVRs for sure. my 12" L7 on 1200 puts out more bass than my bros 2 12" CVRs on 1250. both run by kicker amps. if you are going to get an L7, i would recommend a kicker amp, hifonics, JL, or memphis.

He's only being charged $75 for an older MTX amp that will do 800W RMS. I think that's a great price for a starter amp.

oh, and i forgot he said he would throw in all the cabling needed, rockford fostgate cables none the less.

$375, and a 3hr round trip drive.

omfg!! i love mine!!!!.... but there is better out there.. they are the best in their price range imo....

might as well go ahead and spend some extra money for really good stuff...

you will just want to upgrade in a few days

THis setup will absolutely slammmmmmmmmmm... and is in your price range... with the proper ported box you will be happy...
