Stinger volt meter with switch help

How do I go about wiring the Stinger volt meter to a switch so I can turn it on and off? The switch I have is just a cheap one from sonic electronix, just has power and ground wires.

Also where should I have the meter reading from? The amp or the battery.

Blue wire is trigger, so wire that to the switch or to HU REM wire. Mine is off the front battery...can do the amp if that's easier.

I have mine on a relay off the charge post of the alternator so it reads when engine or run only mode. I ordered one that reads both Volts & Amps (500A with shunt), we'll see how that goes.
