Stinger Distribution Block Problem

im running 3 jl 12's w1 in a sealed box off a kenwood 1800 watt amp and have no problems with the sound.

The 2 problems i do have are:

1. My distribution block makes a constant buzzing sound.

2. My head lights flicker slightly.

My lights use to dim drastically untill i got 2 capaciters installed. After the 2 caps i got the distribution block and installed it.

im running 1/0 power cables and ground cables to the block and 4g out to the caps on one side and to the amp on the other side.

Any one know how to stop the buzzing and the dimming of lights.

Typically dimming should be addressed in the order of:

1. Big 3

2. Upgrade battery or additional battery

3. HO alternator

Cap = Crap

No clue about the distribution block buzzing...what is the make and model?

I guess it's a voltage/amperage reading distro block then (if its buzzing)?..

means your voltages is lower then 10v when the stinger blocks buzz its a low voltage alarm thats built into them.

Good to know...I had no idea about that as I don't have a distribution block...I guess it would depend on what make he has but based on his dimming symptoms, seems logical to me.

thats the power block

im guessing with the big 3 all i need to upgrade is alt ground....

other then that ill look into a new battery from stinger.

i used a volt meter at the amp, battery and block.... my volts are from 14.0 to 13.6. being from battery to furthest point away.

it will buzz on bass drops if your voltage is bad also check the grounds going to the block

If it's buzzing, maybe it's defective? Especially if you are getting buzzing but your voltage is well above the aforementioned minimums.

so im assuming i need a new battery and new ground for alt.

i only pull 78 amps max well so the distribution block says and my alt is 70 at idle and 120 moving.

A cap will work fine I have used them before with no problems.

i have two 2.2 farad caps.... they made the dimming stop alot but not completely.

one last question... What should i set my lpf at on my amp and phase...

i currently have lpf around 140
