Neither will get louder, theyre batteries lol.

I would go with the Powermaster, I have had bad experiences with Stinger batts in the past

One will probably have a higher amperage rating than the other, I dont know the specs off of the top of my head though so I cant say. What went wrong is that in my experience Stinger batts don't hold a good charge for long. I have no idea where either is made but I doubt either is from the US, most stuff is made in asia nowdays, although I could be wrong.

I searched and found 1 thread that said a stinger 1700 was .5 db better. You had bad luck with yours however.

Nope. According to Mechman, XS batteries are made in China and that is why they are better than the American made batteries.

I asked Stinger about this and they said they use 99.9% pure lead and is the reason they cost more than the powermasters. They also said their may look close to the same but the powermasters won't come close in performance. They also thought it was odd that someone would be selling batteries at half price to get their name out.

Any company (well almost any, theres a few honest ones out there) will say its better than the others to get a sale, Email Powermaster and they will probably say the same thing.

How does that stinger do vs the batcap? Have you tried the batcap 3000; how do you think that will do against the stinger bat?

Stinger is made by Odyssey. Odyssey is made by EnerSys. Go to Sears and get the equivalent batt with a warranty and get a few bucks back on your core charge.
