still worried about sub amp combo

I am about to order my new sub i really want a alpine type r buti'm worried that running it off a bridged mrv t420 it will just sound crap.

should i get the less powerful type s which has very close rms figures to the amp.

...You want a mono channel amp for a sub. Amp your speakers with that and then buy a mono amp for your sub.

so do i but thats not an option at the minute so it's a case of which sub to buy
