now, with a ported box, to get net volume, you find it by calc the internal volume. i know that, but does the port affect it? if so, do you subtract the total volume of the entire port (wood and airspace)? or just the wood panels that make the port?

To get net volume:

Subtract the volume of the port, including the wood and the airspace of the port itself. Then subtract volume of the sub's displacement along with any other bracing volume.

so that's a yes. subtract everything, port volume, driver displacement, and any bracing that you have. i think that's it
