imo i dont think it will be any more punchy in a small enclosure vs large

as long as its within the recommended specs

 
Will the smaller sealed box have more of a tight response versious a low response?
'Tight' response implies upper bass. Given the same sub, yes a smaller enclosure will tend to shift the useable freq band upwards. But this is not to say all subs, in that same 'small' enclosure, will perform better in the upper bass and poorly in the lowest octaves.
