I would like opinions from people that have owned or listened to either or preferably both. I'm kinda torn between the two. They are basicly the same price and require almost the same wattage, ive also read good things about both but havent seen the two drivers directly compared.

I want it to get loud when i throw some bass heavy music at it(although thats not what i regularly listen to), but also sound accurate and not to overbearing when i put on rock or punk music.

I plan on porting it and i like it tuned fairly low. I would also appreciate suggestions of box sizes if you think something besides manufacturers recommendations is better.

Im also open to suggestions of other 15" drivers that are in the $100-$120, range can be ran @ 2 ohms and require 500-800 watts.

Thanks

That's the way I was leaning and I think I have now been nudged the rest of they way to deciding on the MAW-15. So is 3.0 cubic feet really the best for them ported? Seems kinda small compared to other 15's. I have read one review i can think of on here that said they thought it would do better in 3.5. I could even go 4.0 cubes if it would be better. Please let me know. Thanks!

Might have been my review that recommended a tad bit bigger than 3.0 ... mine sounded nice and got low but would sound boomy on some tracks and I believe that the extra .5 would help in this area... I loved my Maw, great price too! Not to mention the guys at M5 are great! Denim suggested that I simply add poly to my 3.0cuft box to get rid of the boomyness but never tried it after my amps were stolen...

Maws

Maw's are nice. My roommate has a 15" in a 3.0 ft^3 @ 30hz... it's nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sorry to hear about the amps. I would lose it if my ZED were lifted.
Yea, not quite Zeds, but older DEI stuff.... The thing that really got to me about it was that they completely damaged the amps when the stole them so they weren't even usable anymore (ripped some of the internals out with the wire, guess the wire clamp was pretty good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif) I figure at least if someone is going to steal something I want them to get good use out of it....
