Stetsom Vs Sundown

Ok well since you were there for my testing and how I did my testing lets do this by the notes then, and you cannot tell me a 1K5 is more power than a 2K6. I never did any RTA testing on the amps but the Stetsom amp had a 12 db crossover, hard turn on and off pop and the cooling fan was very loud. Now obviously these power specs do not say any company is better than another simply since all these amps are obviously not rated to be equal in power. If you wanted to have a test of 3 like rated amps from these companies it would be the DD M3, Sundown 2500, and Stetsom 2K5 1 ohm version. So obviously of the 3 the Sundown is the easiest on the electrical system and the Stetsom is the hardest.

DD M3 amp tested using a single 15" 9515 .75 ohm mono 14.1 volts dropping to 12.3 imp rise to 2.1 ohms= 2147 watts

Sundown 2000 tested on same sub .75 rising to 1.9 ohms 14.0 volts dropping to 12.5= 1964 watts

Did not test Stetsom 1k5 but tested Stetsom 2K6 clipped at .75 ohm since it is a 2 ohm rated amp

Stetsom 2K6 at 2 ohm mono rising to 4.3 ohms 14.1 volts dropping to 11.83= 2021 watts

so the stetsom(s) is the "hardest" on the elect. system????? hmmmmm maybe i wont get one.... ive been using a mmats dhcx2200.1 for YEARS on fac alt and xtra redtop... no problems with light dims, was wantn to try a stetsom with out up grading my elect system..

you know comparing DD and Sundown to Stetsom is like apples to oranges. Class D to Digital isnt the same.

class D better for daily drive'n and pound correct...????

H E L L F U C K I N G YEAH!!! i love the mmats amps i have... had them since 04ish and aint never really looked/thought/wanted to try any other amp until now.... LOLOL but still very very very happy with them!!! muah ha ha ha!!

... well if I have to pick then I'd go with Sundown, seems like they have some tough standards for anything with their name on it. I don't really like their ho-hum looks though, I wish it isn't so industrial-looking.

i heard there are shortages on parts to repair the stetsoms that would make me a lil weary about purchasing one at least at this time. i have never used a stetsom but i own a sundown and it rulez

DD... Even though this threads closed, do you realize DD rates their amps after 8 hours of continuous power??? Unlike almost all companys that only do 3-5 seconds.

Also their rated at 11.9v....
