Stetsom or Teramps?

I think i have narrowed it down to the Stetsom Bravo full 3000.1 and the Teramps Smart 3

Plan is to power an FI Audio Neo 3.5 12.

I haven’t completely ruled out the Sundown SIA 3500, but I keep hearing negative reviews.

If I am not going to notice any difference in sound and there aren’t many concerns about the Stepsom, this will be my choice. Otherwise, please let me know your thoughts/opinions

Thanks

I have zero knowledge of the stesom bravo but I've been running a smart3 for over a year now. It's been great for me. It's getting hot and humid here but mo issue with it hitting thermal protect during the summer. The only drawback on the smart3 imo is the pots...they **** 😂
But the bass eq knob fixes that and gives you a bass knob. I'd highly suggest getting it if you go the smart 3 route

It's "Stetsom" and I've had good luck with the couple I ran in the past, though I haven't used one of theirs in probably 10 years or more so I can't vouch for the current state of the brand.

That said, I'd consider any of these Brazilian full bridge amps (and the Chinese knockoffs being sold by Sundown and others) to be of dubious reliability and build quality.

Also for what it's worth, you don't buy Sundown because their amps do anything special, you buy them because of how they handle warranty claims if something goes bad.

Edited/fixed Stetsom.

I’m mostly concerned with thermal issues here in San Antonio. I would lean towards the teramps however, that’s what I had (hd 3000.1) and it had thermal issues. Granted, it only has one fan that went out. The Stetsom and smart 3 have two.

I was told to stay away from the Smart Bass and consider the regular smart 3 instead.

If you wanted a rock solid 3K full bridge that will last a decade buy MMatts. You're buying these other ones for 300$ so figure if they last a day after the warranty runs out you're ahead of the game.

Brazil has been pretty good about building in fans but they've had issues with them being noisy or failing prematurely. Whichever way you slice it be sure to buy from an authorized retailer because at the price point any of these are going to have a higher failure rate than more premium (priced) products.

The Stetsom 4K2D I ran some years back I had mounted in a very tight spot and ran it hard for hours on and without any overheating issues, but again, not sure how their quality is these days. Also worth considering is Soundigital, I own one of their amps that performs pretty well for what it is.

Actually, it was a joke about porn's obsession with stepmoms getting stuck in strange positions.

I'm the only degenerate on the board. 😅

I have a smart 5 and the first one took a dive within an hour but the second one is totally fine. Mine is trunk mounted and it gets stupid hot and humid here in the summer in NY. Never had an issue. That new big boss 3 they have out looks pretty nice. Does way over rated power and is .5 ohm stable. Makes full power from .5-2 ohm, can wire to .5 ohm and with rise you can make full power. My next setup I’ll be using the 8k .5 ohm version. You can always install additional fans if you are worried about heat.
