Well since you guys asked. The 7k2d and 10k where recently discontinued to be replaced by the 9k2d and I just put what stock left on big sale below cost to move the stock that is left.

It should be expected for any kind of generally new company, high MSRP costs, and the fact that its made in Brazil.

Also the small footprint shows that they aren't using the same equipment as other companies do, meaning the parts won't be as available and prolli will cost more.
