Heard this thing's already toast...maybe it was the single 1/0 that restricted current flow and caused some major voltage drop?

Not at all...Input voltage 13.8 output voltage 35v nominal impedance 2ohm. It was just defective or hurt in transit

im suprised it only has a set of power/ground inputs. i thinkt hey realize that we're all crafty enough to get amp buss bars and stuff alot of wire in there.
