nice amp rob!

so it can make full power on 400-500amps of current cause that is bout all a single piece on 0gauge can give for more than a couple secs.

i know the 7kd couldnt hold together off a single battery so that amp drew more than 300 amps. so the 14k draws less than a old 7kd???? please explain someone i am curious...

Insane amounts of current still have to go through the wire...does it not seem odd that this amp, which does roughly 10 times that amount of power as a SAZ-1500D, has the same sized power input? Power is power, it requires X amount of current, regardless.

Ryan check out the amount of copper thats on the board. This could be a major reason why 2 inputs are not needed.

But there still has to be who knows how many amps being drawn...1000? Maybe more? I hope you have 4 runs of 1/0 going to the back and a little 2" piece of 1/0 going to the amp...I honestly don't see how it's physically possible to run 1000+ amps through any length on 1/0.

For the record we got about 12kw from a 10kd on 18v... it didn't like it (we blew an output FET) but it did do it.

This amp seems to do similar power to the 10kd on limited electrical based on the testing posted over on Termpro:

18v 10kd test is what we got... but ours broke.

According to Stetsom the 14kd pulls ahead on bigger electrical setups.

Important to note... we were at 1/2 nominal with a rise to a little over 1 ohm. It may have done better @ 1 ohm nominal as far as not blowing an output FET.

i machined a adapter so you can put 2 0g wires in 1 0g hole. it would be a MUST on this amp...

u can draw up to bout 500amps off a couple foot of 0g.

maybe they are using the 0g like a fusable link,LOL...

hmm...i wonder why my 1/0 welding cable is rated for 600 amps ?

Never seen that before. Most 1/0 welding cable is rated lower than normal since they're normally used in 50ft+ lengths. Highest I've ever seen is 350amps...

Heard this thing's already toast...maybe it was the single 1/0 that restricted current flow and caused some major voltage drop?
