Stereo works...sort of

Well my HU works ( I connected the negative wire to the battery negative , and the yellow and red wire to the battery positive). The only problem is that my stereo doesnt turn on when I connect everything to the original harness. I checked all of the fuses and all of them are intact. Anyone knows what can be the problem ?

Try grounding the ground wire of the HU separate of the factory harness. If that still don't work get a test light and see if you are getting power to the wires that go to the HU. If you find the bad wire run a new one to the fuse panel. If it is the acc hook it up to a fuse that goes off with the key if it is a constant find a fuse that is live all the time.
