Seriously though, final builds/measurements are being taken this week and production will hit very very soon. I anticipate the older v3 Mag's still bringing a high price even after the v4's hit the market due to how different the two models are. I may be wrong, but I don't see the v3's dropping in price second-hand from what they are now.

I think you should bring the Mag v3 back so those who want them can get them, since it is an old product obviously no new engineering is needed.

If those BMs were sealed, I'd say yes... but ported, old-school, BMs are really quite loud so I doubt you would see any gains with two new Mags sealed.

Agreed, because if the new Mags with near max watts can't get louder than my 2 BM's on 1000 watts, then I'd actually like to buy 2 of the older Mags. I hear the SQ on them is great, and would be fine for me (I'm not competing or anything). But I do want *slightly* more bass than I have right now.

Yea, I have talked to Nick about this many times actually, he has always maintained that 2 Mag v4s sealed off of 2000 watts will not be as loud as 2 BM v1s ported off of 1000 watts, it's just not what they were designed to do. At first this bothered me but then I realized how little I actually use my setup to its potential and have decided that 1 Mag v4 sealed will have enough output for me. I do think Nick should bring back the Mag v3, maybe rename it, but keep it the same otherwise as a more SPL oriented sub.

The old school BM's are little monsters when ported. Two new Mag v4's are probably not going to be as loud, since they are a sealed-only driver. If your emphasis is on loudness (which it obviously is from your post), look for a pair of older Mag v3's to throw more power on.

It's not quite dead... but it was thermal. The tinsels, spider, cone, etc are all pretty much like new. I don't know how anyone ever damaged these parts... I had them in a giant box, like 5 cubes, tuned to 50 Hz for testing... unloading them under turning all the time.

Anyway, its only kinda blown //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif One coil on one sub reads lower than it should, sub still plays and amp didn't go into protection but that one starting moving farther and smoke came out of my box.
