Cheap and good. First impressions were that the new BM sounds like the old mag.i don't suppose there's a possible price range yet.
Somewhere between 150 and 200.i don't suppose there's a possible price range yet.
hey. now that's not bad. i'm in the planning stages of building a false floor box in an extended cab with either 4 8's or a couple of shallow 12's. i've tried this before with 10's and it didn't turn out like i wanted. i need to be as shallow as possible. i sorta liked the pioneer shallows i heard, but they weren't quite loud enough. i'll probably do 3 or 4 8's, but i'm leaving the possibility open to using some good shallow 12'sSomewhere between 150 and 200.
I actually think its 4 IIRC.... but either way its awesomeThe BM's are only 3" deep, and IIRC only need 0.5 cubes each
I know you may not have that much testing experience with the new BM....but I hear they sound similar as far as SQ to the v2 Mag, but can they get as loud as them?IIRC Nick told me yesterday the new BMs will be around $159 - as there was a bit of increase in materials cost from the $149 announcement.
I just heard it last night at low volume levels (didn't want to bother the neighbors) and the sound was very similar to an old Mag in a small sealed enclosure - about the same way Nick had described it before I got to listen to it.
No, they aren't as loud as the previous generation Mag. At a given power level they would be similar, but the older Mags simply handled a ton of power, so would out-pace a BM past its rated power level - it was not uncommon to run 1000-1500 watts on the previous generation Mags where the BMs will only want around 500 watts.I know you may not have that much testing experience with the new BM....but I hear they sound similar as far as SQ to the v2 Mag, but can they get as loud as them?
thanks for the review. I wasnt really looking for myself necessarily just interested as have heard the last gen of Mags can get loud and sound amazing while doing it.No, they aren't as loud as the previous generation Mag. But if you want to be THAT loud perhaps dedicated SQ subs aren't what you are looking for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Or, you should be looking at several of them - more cone area would make up for it pretty easily - meaning two BMs sealed vs. one old Mag sealed both at 1000 watts total, the BMs would be louder.
um, yes... must have missed the 10+ threads about the new mag.sorry to thread jack but will there be new mags?
lol i must have, i'll do a search.um, yes... must have missed the 10+ threads about the new mag.
