I was thinking about buying a 15" Magnum. I was wondering what everybody thought about this sub. How would it to compare to the usual(xxx, w7, brahma). Is this more of an sq or spl sub. Has anyone ever had one of these metered. So yea any thoughts on this would be great thanks.

They easily compare to the above mentioned subs. Many people like them better.

I have heard xxx's, the old brahmas, and 2 10 w7's before, and I liked the 12 inch mag I heard better than all of them. The newest line of mags that are out, are simply amazing.

how does it compare to the IDMax with the same power? (~750-1000 watts) SPL wise?

As for the Mags, I adore mine. It took the place of the Brahma, and the XXX in my previous installs, and I liked it better than the Big Dub, so I sold that. The new drivers are just amazing. Sorry I can be of no help with a comparison between the IDMax and the D9s.
