Well if that OEM holds up I'm just going to have it rebuilt here locally (no Dom alt for me). 180 amp alt is no problem with my shop locally.

Yep, my local shop can do it (or come close...maybe he told me 160, it was either 160 or 180 I'll have to get back on here after I call them again). I've taken every alt that's been used in my stereos to them. The silver Camaro that's on our demo car web page had the alt rebuilt in it and his gauge lights got brighter when he flipped on his headlights. It was pretty crazy, that car has no light dimmage at all.

I seriously doubt it (no franchising). But just in case, the company is called "Alternator Starter".
