What's the difference SPL vs.SQ?

I am new to car audio and the forum. I hear a lot about SQ and SPl amps, what is the difference? DKguitar taught me everything I know about car audio yesterday, which ain't much.

SQ = Sound Quality

SPL = Sound Pressure Level

Systems are usually geared toward one or the other. SQ is self-explanatory; SPL is to get high levels (decibels, or Db) of bass. The panacea of car audio is to achieve both, commonly called SQL.
