I needed the unlock code for my 2001 Galant. Didn't want to pay dealer $40-$50 to look it up. I was directed to call 1-888-MITSU2005 from a post on another forum. Must have VIN#, and the MR number and serial number from radio. (Yes, you have to remove the radio to get the numbers) The lady at this number is very friendly, and it's FREE!!!! Would advise that owner of vehicle make the call. You will need social security number and your telephone number. Hope this helps!

**** you need ALL that information just for a radio UNLOCK code? WOW. For Hondas/Acura I know you can just call the dealership with the serial # of the radio and they'll give you the code.

Given that the serial number is printed right on the radio, that pretty much makes the whole anti-theft system worthless, doesn't it?

Not that it isn't worthless to start with.
