Steering Wheel Control Ready

I just pre-ordered the Alpine IDA-X100 and it says that its Steering Wheel Control Ready. My car does have steering wheel controls, so does that mean it'll work with this HU without any more add-ons to buy? Or do u still need to buy the alpine steering wheel interface that it sells?

As far as i know u need an adapter to get your steering wheel controls
