Static on FM only when Jeep is running

I have a 1999 Jeep GC with stock sound system. Recently a problem has started with the radio. When the engine is off AM and FM come in clear, but when engine is running mos the time there is a lot of static on the FM channels (sometimes they go completely out), but AM remains clear. Any ideas?
