starting wages for installers?

But I think I know where he is coming from. If you do a large install on comision (say a 15k-20k install) and then you take what you made (60%+ of the labor) and then divide that out over the time actually spent on the install...you could EASILY get to 90/hour.

But the thing with that is. You probably aren't getting 20k installs every day/week.

yea most of the people that get paid commision on ANYTHING have good days like that thought. I know When I worked telemarketing I sometimes made 40$ and hour w/ commison of course, and other weeks I just made about 12and hour. (regular pay was 10/hour) but on average about 20-25/hr

You worked at a horid shop. Work at a real one with reputable work. I'm just an assistant to an installer and help with medial crap and still pull $12/hour. The installers, straight commission, get $90/hour and a ton of benefits from our owner...
$90 an hour....yea...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Nor did he state it was a fact. He was stating an opinion that he was pretty sure that they'd pay him pretty good, he didn't say, actually they do pay him pretty good.

well thats about 189000 before taxes for a 40hr/wk job. not bad money IMO. MTV might ****k him pretty good also, you never know. I dont see him in any commercials at all. I also dont watch too much tv. but...

Honestly to the OP...with an MECP cert. You will probably get hired rather quickly at a bestbuy or Circuit City...they eat that MECP shit up over there. Im sitting here looking at the basic study guide that we have here at the shop for new guys to read over...and its very basic electrical theory...something that you should already know before you get into the mobile electronics industry.
