Starting over

So if anyone had seen my previous thread about putting 3 type r 12's in the back of my scion i pretty much failed. The shop that built me the box has a completely different idea of what sounds good compared to me or the rest of the ****ing world. That aside, i want to start fresh

Here are the measurements of the space

W=34"

H=20"

D=20"

with .75 mdf the 12 volt says that's about 5.5^3ft

I want to build my substage for around $700 to $1000

The car has stock bat and alt up front with 1/0 to the rear bat HC1800 (i think that's the model)

I want to go ported

Some things i have considered are:

2 ssd 12's

2 hdc3 12's

1 hdc3 15

the list goes on.

I guess what I'm asking is for box volume/tuning sub recommendations along with some amp recommendations

thanks guys

do you still have the subs? those same subs ported with ample power and a correctly designed enclosure will get very loud and sound good.

Do you still have the amp as well, or are you just starting over entirely?

2 12" HDC3 will be very loud, however you need so much power as to have major electrical upgrades to run them.

the 15" HDC3 will use all the space you have.

also look at mach 5 SPL 12" supposed to have great SQ and get really loud its $340 shipped

pair it up witha kicker 2500D amp

its only a single sub setup but your pushin it with only 700-1k for $$ for subs and amp.

okay so i kind of changed my plans. I guess before i buy new drivers and amps, i'm going to try porting these subs. Anyone have a cut sheet or any tips for me?

The amount of space you have to work with is too small for the 3 12's ported . I would just port 2 and be done with it .

are you building yourself? or getting it built.. cuz ive seen that bjfish11 dude build some mighty fine boxes.. reasonable prices on their site as well.
