starter wiring upgrade, anyone done it?

has anyone upgraded their wiring or added to, for their starter? as a "big four" I've heard mixed things. I don't see much of a reasoning behind it, since I'm not trying to turn over a 16 cylinder or anything...

Ive done it in my old car because the old started went out. Why are you doing this?

IMO There should be no reason to install a larger wire to the starter unless it is some serious aftermarket one in which it pulls some serious current on start up's .

I'm not doing it my self. I was curious to what purpose other than an extremely high torque starter you would need to do this. thanks for the info tho.

there is no other reason to upgrade wires to the starter.....
