This thread is started basically for Nick (nhustlar)

I took everyone's advice and cut the bottom out......just have to trim a little more off of the wood and I will continue....just thought I would post this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

^^^^^

I think huge is an understatement......LOL

this will be the ENTIRE trunk of a 1993 caddy sedan deville with the equipment listed below.......

I will get more pics in a little....I added the wood in there and started glassing. I am just waiting for the air to clear before I take my a$$ back down there....

looks small //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

glass looks pretty rough there man lol. but it looks sturdy. i can wait to see how ya do with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

teh smell will fade...the humilaition of having a warped box...pricless...

park the car in ur garage adn throw sum heat lamps on it, faster cure rate=less smell //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I know.....but it is like 10 out right now.....and I REALLY don't want that resin smell in my car anymore.........yuck!
all the time invested going down the drain

looks good tho man, i remember you asking about this along time ago. If you wanna add more to the mold/mdf joint...after it cures pour a bunch of resin combined with alot of chopped up f/g into the crack where they meet.

Looks good my man. If you can handle it you can lay down as many layers as you want at one time. Just switch the bias 90 degrees with each layer. More layers creates more heat, which creates faster curing. I mix my resin hot but can still get 4 to 5 layers done before it starts to set. And a suggestion for further reference, I don't remove anything from the car until it has at least 3 to 4 layers on it depending upon what weight mat I'm using. Sucks to have all your hard work end up warped //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

sop whats the lesson is all this...put it back in you car adn DON LET I WARP! SHOW THAT FIBERGLASS WHOS BOSS!!!

just say this to it "DONT MAKE ME SMAK A *****!" and then raise ur left pimp hand...and itll listen...trust me

I am hoping to get ~11 cubes out of it before displacment

I had about 1/4" of fiberglass/matting before I even thought about taking it out of the trunk...

I know the smell will fade, but seriously, I don't think it will get above 40 here in the next week or so.....

Park my car in the garage??? I have a 2 bd apt with on street parking......no garage in sight........otherwise this would have been done months ago and would have only left the trunk when it was time to wrap fleece!!!!

Going out now to do a test fit.....if it doesn't fit, everything in my sig is up for sale..........seriously

Not worried about the way it looks......JUST how it sounds!! Hell, I assume my car will fall apart shortly after I put all this $hit in anyway
