start with sub stage or the front stage?

Deadening the doors is recommended, but I don't say it's a necessity. I have my doors in my Caprice deadened and I don't have the Jeep deadened. I plan on deadening the Jeep this summer though, basically to stop some door panel rattles. I'm in for front stage, no rears, and a good amp for the front stage. If you feel daring and you know what you're doing, you can do an active front stage. Unless you run some crazy a$$ front stage, you'll be fine with your stock electrical. I guess I just reiterated what pretty much everyone else said.

well, personally, it depends on what you want. me, personally, i'm ok with my stock gm components, and go after the sub(s) first. butm, i don't really like more than 100-110db in that range, and only upgrade for sq, and to be able to hear the full range with canal caps. for daily driver. sub first, and just play it within the limitations of the electrical. do big 3, then battery(s) and alternator. the mids/high, is at the point where you say to yourself one day, without thinking about it "i really need to upgrade.. this sounds like poo"... but i know plenty, that really like more along the sq, or just plain clear loud mids/highs. it's really all in your preference.
All in for teh loud mids and highs.

you get lots more midbass if you seal/deaden the doors

This was the 1st time I've ever done it, and sounds like I had some 8's in the car with no subs at 1st(not crazy SA8's but other people 8's, lol). Shook the door and door mirrors when turned up and just a tad for the rearveiw mirror. Deff worth it while your in there and have the pannel off.

Like I said your better off skipping the rear speakers or leaving them stock and focusing on a good set of components up front, a decent amp for them and a good install/seal/deaden.

Tell you what most start with subs, but normal people subs, like 2x 12's sealed or maybe even ported. Which sound ok with stock interior speakers. Then they add better subs like the ones you are talking about, and overpower the stock speakers easy. Then they upgrade the fronts and add an amp for them, ect..

Either way its up to you

As for the subs, its very hard to beat the performance of SA12's, hence why I picked them. 12's will work well in almost all applications. If you have a trunk car, the12's will likely be just as loud as they dont block the trunk, for an SUV the 18 has more potential, but again still hard to beat the SA12's for efficiency(MMS per motor strength per power applied)
