I remember I was watching one of the Pens-Rangers games and the announcers claimed that the Pens had some of the most loyal fans in the league..I think I pissed myself laughing...the most loyal fans in the league that didn't show up to any games, to the point that the team was on the brink of leaving Pittsburgh...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Soooooo true!!!! My family has always been into hockey, so I've watched the Pens all my life. I remember back when they were selling off their good players not too long ago and all the kids in school gave me crap for watching hockey. Now that they have a shot at the cup, everybody is a Pens fan around here. Fair weather fans FTL!

on the flip side, Ive been a wings fan since I can remember (early 80's) and they SUCKED then LOL.... Guess I am just a hockey fan //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif But we have had it pretty good in Detroit all due to excellent scouting. We trade away all of out top draft picks and get players that help us now, then pick players like Datsyuk (171st) and Zetterburg (210th pick) late in the draft and make scoring machines out of them.

I have lived in the Detroit area my whole life, and have always been a Wings fan. Win or lose, they are still a very good hockey team.

Exactly. They just need to tighten up a bit. Defense has been lacking, and they are streaky with their hitting. If they could get back to how they were playing last season, they would be doing excellent.
