Detroit was just way better in every respect tonight. Still, I think it would've been a different game if Pittsburgh could have scored on at least one of their powerplay chances.
edit: And, in my opinion, that was a pretty poor call against Holmstrom.

Yes, you're right it could have been a different game had they converted one. But it also would have been a different game if not for the "poor call" on Holmer.

How would the game have been significantly different? A score of 5-0 and still a Red Wings win?

The alternative, mind you, would be a much different game. A 1-0 lead for Pittsburgh means they are playing with the momentum and with the lead while on the road. That is a drastically different game than what happened.

I know you're in love with the Wings, but you don't need to counter everything in some pathetic attempt to prove they're so great. They're the best team in the league.....relax and enjoy it.

there was alot of big hits in open ice but ya it was nice to see detroit step up the physical game as that was where I thought that they might get dominated.

Because the Wings would have had a 1 - 0 lead after 1 and been in control of the game at that point. Because of the call Pitt stayed in contention a lot longer. I wasn't countering what you'd said. But more or less agreeing with you and adding my point.

essentially, Detroit out played Pittsburgh in every category of the game. Penguins were even given 3 (or 4) powerplays in the 1st which they could not get anything past Osgood. Man I sure hope the following games are a little more competitive than this, and Pittsburgh arent prone to stupid mistakes when they are worn down, and discouraged because "Cindy" had only 3 shots, Malkin WHO? Ummmmmm this aint East coast hockey, boys. Time to bring the A game if you have it.
