Is it just me, or is there something fishy going on in this thread?

We have a new chinese sub that is claimed to sound better than an MX, 15 gets louder than an MT 18 (one of the loudest subs in the world), the 15 costs 2.5X as much as the 12, and aparently utilize a ridiculously small amount of port area. Clearly these things do not add up to a situation that makes sense.

And that frame, I couldn't stand it the first time I saw that frame style a few years ago... and it hasn't grown on it at all since. But that's certainly not an important factor, just surprised to see that frame showing its ugly face again these days.

I know you mentioned it once in the thread, but if you are gonna post scores, you really should label that they are AC meter scores, not TL, as you list them. Someone reads your posts and thinks 'wow he broke 150 with a single driver' not noticing you mentioned earlier in the thread its on an AC mic. While still an impressive score (no offense), the fact is was an AC 150 makes abit less inspiring.

whats wrong with the smaller port? it seemed to work great in that 300c trunk set up.

did you see the size of the port he used for the 15"s?

and i belive the 12 for 99 was a version 2?

and the 15"s were version 3's?

Im not sure what you mean by whats wrong with the port. I mean, it looks nice, its an aero port... but it appears to be no more than 12.5 sq inches of port area (4"), which is quite small for a pair of drivers of that size. Im not gonna get into a debate over performance differences of various port areas, Im just saying that's not much port area, at all. Id expect that means the subs wont be attempting to displace a whole lot of air, or there's gonna be some fairly serious port air velocity.

The size of the port for the 15's? No, I was referring to the pics of the box shown just above, in this thread.

If one price was for stage 2's, and the other for stage 3's, that would make alot more sense. But if that is the case, it was presented as such. Merely the 12" version is $99 and the 15" is $249. *shrug* But yeah Id guess you are correct, otherwise that price scheme just doesn't make alot of sense.

Not meaning to diss the guy, the subs, or the system... just some oddities throughout the thread I wanted enlightened on.

If you want info on these subs go to http://www.addictive-audio.com they are in Fresno CA. I am more than pleased and still haven't opened them up all the way yet. I am planning a new molded fiberglass enclosure with 3 12's with one inverted.

Anyone know how to get the trunck latch to stop rattling? I matted everyhting I can see!!! I think stuff is going to start falling off the car!! LOL

FYI it was a AC190 not 150 maybe i should have mentioned that but the 190 vs the TL is only like .8db difference and i used 2 subs not 1 so make sure u read the post before u come on this thread dumping just FYI
