Working with idrive is a *****.

Mids are getting 240 watts rms each channel

Tweets are getting 230 watts rms each channel

and the sub is getting about 500 watts

no i didnt. me and my friend did the sound deadening and wiring and install the hub.

i took the car to a shop in Gainesville. the shop name is sound depot and perfomance.

Just because the amp puts out that much power, don't mean he actually puts all that power to them.

regardless of whether they're getting that or not, or can handle it. great system. i'm sure it sounds great. sorry you have to deal with iDrive. i've delt with it toooooo many times and to me it just seems over engineered and a pain in the ***. then again so does having to tug the door handle twice to get out of the car.... dont like the blinker fob either.

correct..

im using the lrx 6.9 6 channel amp bridged into 4 channels for the fronts. and those are the specs on the amp.

the way i have it set up i can use both the factory and the aftermarket system with the alpine vehiclehub.

i actually like idrive. i just dont like the stock system.

i've never really liked it. i'd rather have buttons myself. i've also never really given it the chance though. generally when i've driven the 650ci its been on weekends and i've never really had a week or so of one on one time that it would take to really embrace it. but the time i spent with it didn't convince me and having it lag just frustrated me.

i would gladly indulge in the problem of having a 650ci/m6/5XXi/m5/m3 in my driveway...
