Stacker wont play burned CDs

Hi, Ive got a second-hand sony 10-disc stacker hooked up to a xplod HU that wont load burned CDs. Professional albums seem to play fine, but any burned cd (audio files not just mp3) wont load properly, and it comes up with 'error' and moves on to the next disc. So far Ive tried:

- changing the cds used to TDK CD80s

- changing the burning program to Imgburn

- adjusting the write speed down to 4x

None of this seems to have worked. Any other suggestions?

it is too old and does not have proper codecs and laser capabilities

It probably does not have the proper codes.
