Not necessarily true...the BL cools differently than drivers with pole vents.

i didnt realize how small the icon motor was... looks much larger when not sitting next to another motor..

Where do you think SSA gets their subwoofers from? Scott from Fi Makes them.
Wasnt sure if you knew. I met up with Nick from Fi to do my recone for the BTL and just got to shooting the sh1t with him and got to talking. He said that virtually anyone could have their own line of subwoofer that is made by Fi. Of course there is a purchase minimum as well.

The BL is just a friggin monster. I wish I had the room needed to fit a ported box in my truck.

I wouldn't say Icon=Q. But I would think that Icon/Q/RE SE are all similar drivers. Not necessarily made the same, but made for the same goals. And if Scott was somehow involved in all three, I would imagine there are some mechanical similarities as well....but not the same drivers.

I knew Scott was the designer of RE, and I heard he had something to do with the Icons as well. But, I was just trying to say that they are built for similar goals in mind....but definitely not the same drivers.
