So been debating a new sub... I have never had a 15" before and was searching around. Came across the ssa evil series. Anyone running one of these? Bastards take 3250 rms d1 or d2. Expensive but from what I've read, worth it. I'd also guess these take a good amount of cubes for enclosure...

They were just released. Do look promising with the 4" vc. Haven't heard of anyone running one yet. Buy one and test it out for us all.

$750 for a 4" VC sub that is RATED for 3k and will likely take much more daily is not expensive.

I haven't seen them yet, but they've hate protos running for 3 years now without a failure. I have a feeling they will be in the top echelon of daily beater subs. (If you have the power)

Kinda debating! I want something unique and considered nasty as far as performance/abilities. Claims are it can be an SQL sub or SPL. I like that idea..

That would be the other problem.. Power. As of now I'm powering about 1600 rms. I'm sure that'd be great for a while but knowing me and knowing what that sub would be capable of, I'd get more power to it.

Any ideas of what size enclosure it would take? Didn't find anything for it on the web site...

The design overall isn't very unique but, with the expense of these many people will pass for cheaper alternatives so they should be unique to run. It is to early to say for sure whether they sell many or not so many though.

From everything I've encountered with my 4" VC subs, they really aren't efficient enough on low power to use them over a 3" VC sub under 2k/woofer. People will come in here and say differently, people will say some subs are different (the new FI/AA for instance). However, if you aren't running 2k RMS or better, I wouldn't bother with a 4" VC sub unless you have full intention of upgrading power down the road.

Personally, I'm running a 15.5cu box for 2 15s and they really didn't wake up until I broke the 5k threshold. Just an FYI.

Pimp! Thanks. Where did you find that at?

I also searched YouTube for anything and came up empty handed... Would like to see if any of the "pro's" have any input.. Comparison wise to other like minded 15"s.

Denim, let's work on me getting two of these and doing a drop in over TRFs. I'll do burp, music and demoing. I'll give a testament either way as to their place in the new high end world.
