Square Subs?

im retarted and im am very stuck on squares.
This man sees the truth!

Well, unless you want to upgrade on power or downsize, Kickers' L7s are out of the question. The 10" L7s are 600w RMS, but you could try looking into the L3/L5s..if you're not a fan of Kicker, I think MTX made some square ones too..

Well you see I gave my good buddy here his first sub which was a hifonics Brutus square 12". And he fell in love. Since then he has been stuck on them and we haven't been able to convince him to go round lol
ummm i went from them to some sa's and i will never go back to squares............

Do you have your subs on your dashboard? If not who gives a fuck what they look like. Get some round subs that sound good and get loud. There are so many better subs than everything you are looking at. You dont want to try to sell the ones you have. Is that because you are afraid noone will buy them because they are square? Sell the subs and box and buy round subs for 200 each, and get a box built for those subs for 200 and you spent the 600 you said you could, plus you will have extra from selling the stuff you have now.

Is 4+4 ohms the same as 4 or is that 8 wtf
how are you shopping for speakers not knowing how ohm ratings work

Excuse me, I'm sorry sound waves are only produced in little wavy lines on a graph I guess because I've never a sound wave in real life.... -.- I feel so stupid.
you've never what a sound wave in real life, because if you have been around any system i can promise you that you have felt them.

you really need to learn some basics if you want to get serious about the car audio game,

and trust me and the others, step away from your pair of squares to a solid single round sub in a correct enclosure and you will be blown away.

Wow....so much fail here.

Square subs play the same as rounds. You actually get more surface area with a square. All a speaker does is cycle back and forth at given frequencies. Sure there is slight, as in barely audible to the average human, deflection because of the stiffer corners in a square.......but for anyone saying that going from a square to a round will make a massive difference is just full of it.

Anyone who dares to argue should learn about transducers.......

I think it's more the fact that for the money you can buy a much better round sub than square sub 99% of the time.

Well this statement - trust me and the others, step away from your pair of squares to a solid single round sub in a correct enclosure and you will be blown away.

says different......lol
