Top five?? Don't know if thier is a top five, for the most part I think people in general would say thier #1 pick is what they have in thier trunk. But you have to understand that sub has something that pertains to what the individual is looking for. I myself like the new 12" Mag v4 because it has such a shallow mounting depth and requires a small sealed enclosure. Plus it can handle a lot of power and sounds great with many genres of music. So thiers my top choice.

my top fav has to be the new premiums from MbQuart as little as .5 cf on a 12" and handle gobs of power. but all the others except JL are awesome IMO (cant stand JL way overpriced)

SQL seems to be a term invented by people what are not loud and don't sound jaw dropping spectacular. I think I'll call my setup sql:laugh: Until I can earn the right to call it SQ. I don't think I'll ever go the true SPL route. cause I'm to poor for a project car
