SQ woofer

im in the market for a great SQ 12" woofer that will be going into a small sealed enclosure (made by MTX). not too sure on the cu ft, but its like any other basic sealed box. i listen to hip-hop/rap/trance and would like a sub that can keep up and sound good while doing it.

i have a budget of $150 for a single 12. if i can get more bang for the buck, ill go for it. it will be powered with an hifonics bx1000d @ 2ohm (500rms) *unless its capable of 1000rms at 1ohm*

so far, what i have in mind are:

1) alpine type-r

2) Diamond Audio D312D4

3) Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1d

im open for suggestions for other woofers. please include any legit site where i can purchase them as well

according to the tcab guys, the type r doesn't like sealed ecnlosures. i see ascendant atlas's going pretty cheap on the net

You should just come up with the extra bucks and get JL.

The infinitys are very nice. I used to own several pairs of infinity subs, and they had great sq.

Of your options I'd vote Infinity. You probably can do better for the $ as some have suggested though.
