I need some advice on how to wire 2 dual4-ohm speakers to a 2-channel amp. The amp I have MTX2300(200 Watts x 2 into a 4 Ohm load with less than 0.01% THD 375 Watts x 2 into a 2 Ohm load with less than 0.1% THD 750 Watts bridged into a 4 Ohm load with less than 0.1% THD) im assuming will produce a 4-ohm load when bridged for both speakers.
Since I've never hooked up dual voice coil subs before....for lets say one sub: Do I take 1 speaker wire and hook both positive terminals together on that speaker....hook another wire connecting both negative terminals together....then just connect one wire for the positive to 1 red terminal and another wire to the negative terminal on speaker, with these 2 leading to the amp?
I forget what MTX recommends for bridging the amp, but I assume its meant to be bridged parallel. So I would take both positive wires coming out of box and connecting them to the positive on left channel, and both negatives to negative on right?
Well, I just talked to a MTX rep, and they said to hook them up series-parallel....series to sub and parallel to amp.
