SQ sub / RE Audio

whats up guys? i've been out of the car audio scene for a few years now so i dont know whats going on. thinking about gettin an SQ setup, starting with a sub for now, im hungry for a little bass right now. anyway, whats a good SQ sub around $100? going to be in a sealed box.

also, how is RE audio? i remember wanting an MT back a few years ago but how are their subs now? did US Amps buy them?

EDIT: oh yea, i have recently been looking at an Elemental Designs SQ10 or 11Kv and i am liking those...especially their price

The BM is a Stereo Integrity BM (pretty sure it stands for Baby Mag? Since the Magnum is their other speaker... Anyone?) I know they had them over at low-hz.com for 175 shipped, not sure if they have any left in stock however. You can find them used for well under that, I just got some in mint shape for 125 shipped from ebay. All in all they are supposed to be an excellent speaker, and don't need a ton of power to get loud. Not sure how much the ID's run these days, I recall seeing a few in the classified section however, you may wanna browse through there.

you're right, BM stands for baby mag. and its just that. outstanding sound quality and they can get pretty loud too.

really, SQ is completely subjective person to person. you can get awesome SQ from hundreds of subs. the box can make or break it

basically just do your homework and find a sub that you like, then get a good box design for it based on your preferences as far as ouput

i want a well balanced system once i am done. i will get some components up front later, but right now i just need some bass. i dont need it to be loud, i just want it to blend with my other speakers. i want some good kick drums and bass guitar, i listen mainly to rock/metal/hardcore, so i want the sub to be good and tight

what about those mach 5 audio subs they were selling for like a penny back a year or two ago?

The Image Dynamics line will always be good

the new IDQv3 is out

The ID line is good..

I love the sq from my 12" IDQv.2. Never tried it in a ported box, but sealed SQ was tight an accurate. Jus dont expect crazy output from it. Ive heard that the the new v.3 are jus as good an can get louder than the previous models.
