sq on budget

ok im looking for a couple 12's that will take approx 500ish RMS each

i care alot more about SQ than SPL cause i figure with two 500 watt subs - im sure no matter what they'll lget some what loud.

im considering

i really dont wanna spend more than $200ish per sub

and before anyone says it - im considering basically all the forum boners

but before ppl tell me to get two Q's or something that push 800-1000 watts each i really dont know if ill have the money anytime soon to get my electrical system upgraded plus the amps would be more money - im not competeing or anything - i just want it to sound good but not be regretting it 3 months from now.

just wondering if anyone has any suggestions

I only have one, but I have a 12" custom TC9. Dual 2-ohm, 1200w RMS. Built for SQ duty. Throw it in about 2.5 cubes ported to 30-35Hz, and it should do very nicely for you.

whats your total buget I could do a whole system cosisting of a 6 channel amp 2 sets of speakers splits and coax and 2 subs 10" for around $2000AUD total or even a 4ch and a bigger sub amp For a little more plus shipping in prpaid boxes all sq will go load enough to annoy the neighbors but i can t help with a head unit as im looking for one nowr can i supply the batts or cabling

Umm. no...

They're decent daily subs, but they don't excel in either sq or spl. w6s on the other hand, are a very nice sq sub

Diamond D3s,rated at 400rms,U could easily feed em the 500wrms,and u can get em cheap.Check out Hifisoundconnection I think they are like 70 bucks a piece.

My roommate has a pair of those (12's) in the diamond recommended ported enclosure with only 500w total going to them and they sound great and get loud.

on another hand i have a fi q d2 in a 2.5 ported box tuned to 30hz and it gets down low, has a smooth response all across the board and can get loud when needed to as well. i highly recommend it. I also highly recommend image dynamic subwoofers for sq, as well as old classics like tc 2+ motor designs like rl-p's and also motor designs like Adires XBL2 design.

lota options. i considering selling my 1000 watt amp and fi q soon idk if ur intrested but im thinking in few weeks down road ill be posting them up fs.
