So is it either iPod connection with Apple lossless, USB device (jump drive or external hard drive), or CDs then for SQ?
You need to use the cleanest source audio as you can. And something that the stereo is required to interpret and translate. Otherwise the stereo isn't really involved in the audio process other than just providing an interface between your audio source and the speakers. So is it either iPod connection with Apple lossless, USB device (jump drive or external hard drive), or CDs then for SQ?
As far as I know the highest CBR for mp3s is 320 kbps and CDs are 1,411 kbps. So I fail to see how the bit rates are even close. But again, 320 kbps does NOT sound bad. But VBR mp3s are superior over ANY CBR mp3. But again, my knowledge of compressed music is limited as I never play them other than on my computer. And at least with the zune you can rip with up to roughly 1000 bit rate. To my knowledge full cd quality bit rate is roughly 1400 so to my ears and by my math it is pretty close to a cd's quality.
where do you get your songs then and how do you play them in your car??As far as I know the highest CBR for mp3s is 320 kbps and CDs are 1,411 kbps. So I fail to see how the bit rates are even close. I get them by ripping my CDs into the VBR mp3 format via the uber standard using EAC and Lame.exe.where do you get your songs then and how do you play them in your car??
Because I don't download my songs, I rip from the original cd. When you do that you can set which format to rip from. Most of my songs using the lossless format range from 900-1400 bit rate.As far as I know the highest CBR for mp3s is 320 kbps and CDs are 1,411 kbps. What format is that?? I know that mp3 is NOT lossless. Is it .wav or what??Because I don't download my songs, I rip from the original cd. When you do that you can set which format to rip from. Most of my songs using the lossless format range from 900-1400 bit rate.
You can choose a lossless WMA format with the Zune software. Possibly with WMP, as well. What format is that?? I know that mp3 is NOT lossless. Is it .wav or what??
