SQ Guru's chime in

wow thanks guys!!! i appreciate it a lot! i now have a lot of options for my speaker choice.
kmanian

if i went your way, how would i be able to cross them like that?
Now I am assuming you are using 2 ch. for subs, and 2 ch for mids and highs. Something like this would work.

INFINITY REFERENCE FIVE 3 WAY PASSIVE CROSSOVERS @@ NEW - eBay (item 390272034505 end time Jan-13-11 18:02:33 PST)

or these

INFINITY CS 3007 3 WAY PASSIVE CROSSOVER S @@@@@@@@ NEW - eBay (item 370470968015 end time Jan-30-11 01:20:43 PST)

I personally would lean towards the second one as the xover points are better suited fot the 3" dome mid.

cool thanks kent! seems like i will use the second one

how will the boston pro 60 6.5, the mids u recommended, and pro60 tweets in that crossover //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

welcome!

I haven't used the BA Pro 60's so honestly I couldn't say 100%. I am sure it would be a good combo. I will say this, one of the advantages of a 3 way is utilizing a driver that has strong Midbass characteristics, as it is going to be a true Midbass/woofer. Your small format mid will handle the mid duties. So take advantage of this and use a driver that will give you that snap/punch that so many systems are missing. The BA pro's may do that. If you haven't bought them yet, you may want to look at the Rainbow drivers, and utilize the "kick" versions. As for the tweets, they are going to be crossed over fairly high, so getting a smooth, not tingy sounding tweet and the rest should fall into place.

GL let me know how it goes. or PM me if you need some help with the glass.

I would wait on buying those xovers until you have your drivers. If the drivers ohms dont match that xover, your x over points will change drastically. It looks like your door would be easy to build a wooden baffle to place a speaker on the door pocket. I Would start with a decent 6.5 mid and and find a decent tweeter to start with.
