SQ components? Anyobdy used these??

I'm looking at new 6 1/2" components for the front doors of my 96 Accord. I'm using an Alpine CDA-105 HU and a Soundstream Reference 2.370 amp to drive them. The amp is rated at 110x2 @ 4 ohms.

I'm currently deciding between:

Image Dynamics CTX65CS

SoundStream RF-60C

My concern is SQ and midbass over SPL. The doors are fully skinned with Second Skin along with a liner of Rattlepad. The reviews I read about the ID's have been very good and the few I found for the SS have also been good. They both have the swivel soft dome tweeter I'm wanting.

So does anybody have any experience with either one of these?

ID comps are supposed to be kick *** and worth the money. Not sure about soundstream...all I know about them is that they make some good amps and subs. I do know that both are too pricey for my liking lol. I will stick with Alpine Type R comps lmao.

People rave about the ctx comps here. I have not personally heard them, but I think those would be a very good choice.

ID is a forum boner for the time being. So, most replies will be biased in that direction. They do make solid products. But a lot of people are just going by hearsay.

Unfortunately that's all I have to go on also is hearsay, which is why I was reaching out to people who've actually owned or atleast heard them. Sucks having no local dealers.
