Im gonna start a build thread for my truck. My goal is a high def stereo on a small budget. Champagne taste on a beer budget if you will.

The truck

2001 Yukon XL xlt with on-star with out bose!

Head Unit

Kenwood DNX 5120 with parrot blue tooth, ipod cables, back up camera, and navigation

$450 off craigslist. still in box!

Front Door speakers

MB Quart PCE 213 5 1/2 components

$150 Clearance at local car stereo shop Regularly $449

Currently all speakers are running off the factory amp.

Custom work done

Cut dash from 1.5 din to double din

mount 5. 1/2s in front door 6.5 opening

I have 4 awg wire coming in the mail for the power. Im thinking i might need to use 2 awg for the main power if i go with the 10w7

Price for wire 25 feet of 4awg 23.75 plus 10 for shipping

Just got a set of Chrome 22's for the truck today with tires for $500

got to love craigslist and people who are desprite for money to pay bills!

Can anyone recomend some good speakers for the rear doors? any 6.5 speakers. they will be eventually running off a JL 300/4 amp

I dont know where yer getting a w7 with a 500/1 for $400, but for that price, i would go that route.

i found them on craigslist. i can talk the guy down to 400 he's asking 550 for they set up but its been online for a while and i bet he'll take 40o. peopl need money so bad right now they will take some serious low offers
