SQ 6x9 speakers

The JL VR 690's are nice as are the Polk Momo's since they sport a cast aluminum frame. I think CDT or Cadence had some cast versions as well.

I have a stunning pair of mint old school Cerwin Vega CS-18A's but they are top mount only. Cast aluminum frames, huge magnets, horn loaded tweeter w/reset protection, treated woven fiber surrounds so they never wear out.

I am using some 23 year old Magnum Professional 6 x9 components right now (very rare). I find the larger woofer provides better midbass than a 6.5 mounted on an adapter plate. I tried some Morel MW-166's and some a/d/s woofers but the Magnum's outperformed them hands down.

Those Image dynamics are sick. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif Does anyone have experience with 6x9 Polk or JL speakers? Both use soft domes and are very nice. It is kind of hard to decide. I don't want crisp sound, I am looking for smoothness so that rear passengers can relax and not complain about bleeding ears. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif
